HRAs are the newest way to set up your health insurance benefits.В They allow your employees to carry a debit card to cover day to day expenses and then to be ''reimbursed'' for them. The idea behind them is that the employer can implement a higher deductible (providing lower premiums) and offer the HRA to cover the smaller expenses that drive up the cost of insurance. The HRA legislation has been around for over 5 years, but few companies have taken advantage of them yet.
